This weekend

This weekend is going to be busy! Tons of fun things to do in the Panhandle. Here are just a few that caught my eye for tomorrow, May 4th. I see several future blogs from the events below.

Wiregrass Rose Society presents the 9th annual Rose Show at the Dothan Area Botanical Gardens Rickett’s Hall from 1pm-4pm. This is a free event that is open to the public. They will have rose for sale as well. Call 334-201-6800 for more information.
45th Annual Blue Crab Festival in Panacea at Woolley Park. Park admission is $3 and kids under 12 are free. This festival originated in 1975 to promote the crab industry in Wakulla County. The festival will kick off at 10am with a parade down U.S. 98. They will have a mullet toss, mountain dew cloggers, crab picking contest, cypress trio and more. Chautauqua Vineyards and Winery is having a spring festival in DeFuniak Springs from 9am – 6pm. They will have free wine tastings, music, and arts & crafts vendors. No entry fees~ family friendly day of fun!
Free event in Lynn Haven at the Sharon Sheffield Park. 10am – 2pm. They will have inflatables, crafts, popcorn, live music, hamburgers, and hot dogs.
This is a community celebration in Wewahitchka at the Honeyville Park. From 1pm – 4pm stop by as they unite as a strong community post-storm, for the public schools our students deserve. It is free and they will have face painting, music, bounce house, food, and take action booths.
In Fort Walton Beach at the Northwest Florida Fair on Lewis Turner Blvd is sure to be a lot of happy kids. From 10am – 2pm the FWB Police Department will host this free event. It will provide kids with the educational opportunity to enjoy close-up interaction with big equipment in a safe environment.
