The 2nd Saturday in May letter carriers in more than 10,000 cities and towns across America collect food from their postal customers. It is the largest one-day food drive in the nation. So this Saturday(May 11th) if you would like to donate all you need to do is place a box, bag, or can of non-perishable food next to your mailbox before your letter carrier delivers the mail. The food is sorted, and delivered to area food banks or pantries in our communities, where it is available for needy families. With Hurricane Michael recovery efforts ongoing, donations to the Letter Carries Food Drive is more crucial than ever. Please consider filling a bag or box of healthy nonperishable food items.
