July 6th from 10am to 11am Native Nurseries of Tallahassee are hosting Butterflies like it hot! This will be held at 1661 Centerville Rd in Tallahassee. It may be hot but it’s not to late to start a butterfly garden and bring color to your yard for summer and fall, as well as colorful butterflies and hummingbirds. Elizabeth Georges will share her recipe for creating a simple and attractive butterfly garden so you can watch the caterpillars transform into butterflies! This is a free workshop and no registration is required. For parking please use the driveway next door to the nursery with the workshop parking sign seen from Centerville Road.Sankofa Concert “Underground” by Akil Dupont will be from 7pm to 10pm at Cascades Park at 1001 South Gadsden St in Tallahassee. This is a free event concert that will feature songs and dances from Underground, a breath-taking musical that captures one slave’s faith and determination to gain freedom for his family, originally preformed in Atlanta, Ga.
