October 10th

October 10th, one year after Hurricane Michael came on land as a category 5 and changed the views and lives of so many. They will be having many celebrations over the next week to remind the communities how far everyone has come. Be sure to check your local communities for events not listed on the blog.

Dawson Tree Giveaway, Oct, 10th from 8:30am to 12:30pm (or until trees are gone). At Harvey Dee Mathis Park located on Florida Ave. in Panama City. Limit 2 trees per household and please bring a water or electric bill, this is for Panama City and surrounding areas.
Live music, hay rides, art show, giveaways, food vendors, and fireworks. October 10th from 4pm to 8pm at the Citizens Lodge Park in Marianna. Join neighbors and friends for an evening of celebrating the resiliency of the citizens of Jackson County.
October 10th ALL first responders will receive a free 6inch sandwich with chips and a drink at participating Subway’s. On the anniversary of Hurricane Michael this is Subway’s way of saying thank you. Wewa will be participating and you may need to call or ask at the other Subway’s in your area.
