Feb 15th they are having another food giveaway event at the Greenwood Park in Greenwood. Below is from the FB event page.
Jaco Angel’s and IKIC next Food Giveaway is scheduled for Saturday, February 15th at the same location Greenwood Community Park.
Second Harvest will be there that morning. 2 families per car with proof of ID of different addresses. Please remember this is first come first serve until everything is gone. You may not receive everything if you aren’t in line early. Everyone must complete a form from Second Harvest, they are working on bring a Semi Truck instead of just a boxed truck to feed more people.
The start time is 10:30am, sometimes they could be running late coming from Tallahassee or they have had them show up earlier which means if they have everything unloaded and bagged then they will start handing items out alittle earlier which doesn’t interfere with the line since it is first come first serve. Most of the items are perishable items so they need to get the Giveaways started as soon as they are ready.
The goal is to try to not have people wait to long. Since they have people lining up as early as 7am.
Please remember they are all volunteers and are doing this from their hearts so they expect everyone to be kind.
