Hoggetowne Medieval Faire

Gainesville’s annual ren festival is next weekend! The Hoggetowne Medieval Faire is only taking place one weekend this year – January 27-28th. Come out to Depot Park to feast on turkey legs as big as your fist, watch jousting competitions, and get a break from the hullabaloo of the modern day. There will be medieval revelry and merriment including living chess board matches, carnival rides, a medieval marketplace, artisans, and craftsmen. Learn more by visiting the Hoggetowne Medieval Faire website

New Quilting Store in Marianna

Marianna is excited to be welcoming a new quilting shop on Constitution Lane. Cookie’s Fabrics, named after the owner’s mother, celebrated its grand opening on Tuesday. Cookie’s is still growing and hopes to offer the following:

The Artists’ Guild

The Artists’ Guild of Northwest Florida will meet at the Historic 1st National Bank Multi-Use Facility today from 11 am-3 pm. The Artist Guild is a nonprofit visual and performing arts group focused on education, support, events, and community economic growth throughout Northwest Florida. They will be discussing the 2024 Gallery installations, events, and community workshops. All community members are welcome.

Christmas on the Square

Come out to Magnolia Square in Blountstown this Saturday for a day of family fun, food, and holiday shopping. Christmas on the Square will start at 8am on December 2nd. Kountry Candy Store’s Fall Festival

Kounty Candy Store is hosting its first Fall Festival! There will be candy, bounce houses, food, live music, games, and vendors galore. The event is being hosted for the benefit of the local no-kill animal shelter, Partners for Pets. The event will take place at Kountry Candy Store on November 18th from 8am-3pm. Florida Bat Festival

Lubee Bat Conservancy is hosting the 2023 Florida Bat Festival. Come out on October 21st to enjoy the 19th annual event; it will run from 10am to 5pm. There will be a plethora of bats including the largest bat species – a Malayan Flying Fox which has up to six-foot wingspan. There will also be baby bats, bat-themed merch, educational seminars, live music, food trucks, vendors, a kids zone, and a beer garden. The beer garden is exclusive for participants ages 21 and up; the Beer Garden includes a souvenir glass and unlimited pours from local craft brewers like Swamp Head Brewery, Azalea City Brewing Company, and First Magnitude Brewing Company. Annual Fall Festival in Campbellton

The 2nd Annual Campbellton Fall Festival is happening soon. On October 14th at 10am, come out to the Downtown Area for a community event. There will be games, competitions, foods, arts and crafts, entertainment, and more!

Sunland Center Fall Festival

Sunland Center’s 42nd Annual Fall Festival is less than a month away! Held on the historic grounds of the Sunland Center in Marianna, this festival features over 100 vendors offering a variety of food, crafts, arts, and activities. There will also be live entertainment, food trucks, and a parade. Best of all? The event is FREE to enter. Be sure to bring cash and card for vendors and food. So come out on October 28th from 9am-2pm and get ahead on your holiday shopping with a family-friendly fall afternoon!
