October Haunts: Restless Slumber Cemetery

Looking for a fun, safe Halloween event this October? Consider visiting the Restless Slumber Cemetery! They offer a 30-minute drive-through attraction where you can experience the horrors of a haunted graveyard through life-like scenes. The entry fee is $20+ tax per vehicle, so load up your friends and family this weekend for a spooktacular time!

Spanish Trail Pumpkin Patch

Local favorite farm, Spanish Trail, is hosting a few special fall events this coming month. They will have a 2021 Pumpkin Patch with thousands of pumpkins, a 10-acre corn maze, and wonderful sunflower fields to meander through. This special bundle of fall favorites will open on October 2nd at 10 a.m. and will run the whole month. Bring out the family for a fun fall-themed day! Coming this weekend is the annual Pensacola Seafood Festival! From Friday to Sunday, come down to Downtown Pensacola to enjoy the sunshine, music, food, arts & crafts vendors, and more! Kids and animals are welcome, masks are encouraged but not required. Hours are as follows:

Flea Across Florida

Flea Across Florida is here! FAF is Florida’s longest open market going from Jacksonville to Pensacola and occurs annually in April and September. It is sponsored by Friends of Flea Across Florida. Weekend Jazz Fest

Coming to Pensacola this weekend (September 4th and 5th) is the annual Gulf Coast Summer Fest Jazz Edition! This is the fifth annual festival and will showcase an amazing collection of sixteen musicians including Eric Darius, Cindy Bradley, Norman Brown, and Paula Atherton. Please leave children under 18 at home when you come to enjoy smooth contemporary jazz along Pensacola’s waterfront. There will be food vendors at the event but visitors are welcome to bring coolers with their own food and drink, as well as lawn chairs and umbrellas. Tax Free Weekends

Tax-free weekends are coming up quickly! Alabama’s back-to-school event is this weekend, July 16th-18th. Clothing, computers, school supplies, and more will be tax-free. Visit the Alabama Department of Revenue’s site for more information, including a list of specific exemptions. Florida’s tax-free event is longer and begins the last weekend of the month, July 30th to August 9th. Visit the Florida Department of Revenue’s site for more information, and be sure to mark your calendars. 

 

Pensacola: International Billfish Tournament

The Pensacola International Billfish Tournament starts today, June 30th, and will end on July 4, 2021. Held at Palafox Pier, this tournament has been a tradition since 1970. This is the 50th Annual  Pensacola International Billfish Tournament! The event schedule is as follows:

Wednesday June 30th: Captains Meeting
Thursday July 1st: Flare Start- Pensacola Pass
Friday July 2nd: Scales open 4-7pm
Saturday July 3rd: Scales open 3-7pm
Sunday July 4th: Awards

Panhandle Watermelon Festival
