Jan 4th~yard sale

Multi-family yard sale to start the New Year off. Someone cleaning and organizing is a great chance for you to get some good bargains. Saturday, Jan 4th starting at 7am at the Shiver’s Florist parking lot located at 17294 NW Charlie Johns St in Blountstown. The sale includes toddler toys, décor, furniture, household good, clothes for woman, men, and kids, and much more.

New Year’s Eve Free Event

Tallahassee’s Downtown Improvement Authority is hosting a free New Year’s Eve event Tuesday in Cascades Park. The event is being presented by Visit Tallahassee, a division of Leon County. iHeartMedia will emcee the event on the Capital City Amphitheater Stage. The City of Tallahassee will sponsor two fireworks shows. Two local bands will play during the event: The Fried Turkeys, will take the stage for some musical fun, and the headliner for the evening, Tallahassee Nights Live, will close out the evening of music. Tallahassee Nights Live’s talent, energy and diverse musical genres will delight multiple generations of music fans. In addition to fireworks and musical entertainment, many family-friendly activities and food trucks will be on hand to offer fun, quell everyone’s hunger pangs and provide beverages, including beer. All alcohol sales at the event go to support local nonprofit the Downtown Business Association. All of Cascade Park’s amenities will be available, including the Discovery playground. Attendees are welcome to bring their own food and drinks. The events are open to all ages: no tickets or advance registrations is required. There is ample parking at and around Cascades Park; the free Downtown Trolley will also be available for patrons The event will wrap up at 10 p.m., but patrons can continue to enjoy the evening downtown with several restaurants hosting parties with no cover charge. College Town will have free fireworks at midnight.

December 27th~Annual Reagan Jam

Friday, December 27th from 6pm to 9pm they will have a Reagan Jam at Madison Street Park in Marianna. 30plus local musicians putting together bands on the fly and making music! Hosted by Master Mix Productions LLC.

Last Sunday before Christmas. Expect cool and wet weather again today. Be safe out there.

Sunday, December 22nd from 11am to 4pm at 704 Main Street in Chipley they are having a holiday yard sale. They will have new and used things for sale.
December 22nd from 3pm to 6pm consider joining St. George Island UMC in Eastpoint for Christmas music sung by kids, sweet treats and refreshments.

The last Saturday before Christmas and another cool and rainy day in the Panhandle. Be safe!

Food giveaway at Greenwood Park on Saturday starting at 10am until it is gone. This is a drive through event and only 2 families per vehicle. This is run by volunteers so please be sure to thank them and be polite. Thanks to Second Harvest of Tallahassee, JACO Angels Hurricane Relief Team, and IKIC Inc all teamed up to help our local communities.
Christmas Distribution on Dec 21st. 7am is fresh food, noon is toys and 3pm starts the nonperishables. Please stay in your vehicle and follow the signs and you must have a Jackson County ID. Chipola Baptist Association located at 3004 Highway 71 North in Marianna.
Holiday Fest: Light up the holidays will be held at two locations and two different dates. The Jackson County Public Library is hosting this Saturday, Dec. 21th from 12:00pm to 1:30pm at the Graceville Branch Library. They will have games, crafts, refreshments, and Santa will be there! Be sure to take the kids to this fun event!

December 20th~Freedom Ranch Christmas

December 20th at 6pm be sure to go to 1272 Whitfield Lane in Marianna for Freedom Ranch Christmas! It is all free! They will have pony painting, photos with horses, hot chocolate and desserts, toy giveaways, and gift card drawings.

Dec. 19th~Children’s Christmas Party

Thursday, December 19th the town of Greenwood and the Jackson County Public Library have joined together to host a children’s Christmas party! From 5pm to 7pm at 4207 Bryan Street. Holiday snacks will be served, Santa will be there, and the kids can decorate an ornament to take home!

Dec. 18th~Paramore’s Pharmacy & Gifts

This Wednesday is another holiday event. This Christmas Party will be held at Paramore’s Pharmacy & Gifts on 5th Street in Marianna. On December 18th from 2pm to 6pm they will be hosting their annual Christmas Party with loads of in store giveaways for all ages! They are excited to host yummy tastings of their new Chapel Hill Chocolates and beverage tastings from Good Times. Once a year incredible sales to complete all your last minute shopping for your friends and family, and gifts for yourself as well. They also offer FREE wrapping everyday.

Monday~Dec 16th~Dom’s Mobile Hut

Santa is coming! Where? To Dom’s Mobile Hut that is located in Marianna right next door to the UPS Store at 4415 Constitution Lane. From 3pm to 5pm they will have special promotions and this event is a child and pet friendly event!

Dom’s Mobile Hut is a fast and unlimited internet store and they also sell cell phones cases and phone plans. The phone number is 850-372-4284. They respond very quickly. They are open Mon-Fri from 9am to 6pm and Saturday from 10am to 2pm and closed on Sunday.
