The Calhoun County Senior Center is once again hosting BINGO nights! Every Thursday night from 5 – 8 PM, there will be BINGO, quarter games, and concessions. Participants must be at least 18 years old to play. The Senior Center will be hosting these events and is a nonsmoking venue. Proceeds from BINGO nights go towards the Calhoun County Senior Citizens. Come out for a night of fun, food, and fundraising!

Today is the kickoff night for Concerts in the Park. Come down to Madison Street Park at 6 pm for food, fun, and music. Bring a blanket or folding chairs to enjoy the Killin’ Time Band while enjoying Lydia’s Mexican Food Truck and The Ice Box. This is the first summer concert being held by Mainstreet Marianna; come out to The Mere on July 3rd and Blue Springs Recreational Park on August 4th. The First Baptist Church of Marianna will be providing children’s entertainment.

Local Snead’s blueberry farm, Blue Acres Berries, is once again open for blueberry season. U-pick blueberries will begin Thursday, May 26th, and last until July. Hours will be 8 am – 7 pm. The farm features five Rabbiteye varieties: Climax, Brightwell, Tifblue, Savory, and Premier. The price for u-pick berries is $12/gallon; you can also have the farm pick the berries for you for $21/gallon.

The Tupelo Honey Festival is happening in Wewahitchka on May 21st! From 9 am to 5 pm CT, enjoy the festive ambiance at Lake Alice Park. There will be food, fun, arts & crafts vendors, and music. The North Florida Wildflower Festival is this Saturday, April 30th! The festival will be held in downtown Blountstown; this includes Magnolia Square, the M&B Train Depot Museum & Park, and the Blountstown Greenway bike trail. The North Florida Wildflower Festival is an annual event run by the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce, Florida Wildflower Foundation, Florida Panhandle Wildflower Alliance, University of Florida IFAS, RiverWay South Choctawhatchee Apalachicola, and Blountstown Main Street. The festival will feature wildflower and gardening-themed products, plants, arts and crafts, and kids’ activities.

The Lazy Acres Family Farm is having a Farm Tour Day at the end of this month. On April 30th from 10 am until 4 pm, the farm will be open to the public for free!
