Pensacola Grand Carnival Parade

Elaborate floats and outlandish costumes will lead the Florida-style pageantry for the annual parade which usually features more than 6,000 participants from Krewes, local organizations and marching bands.

The parade takes place on Palafox and Garden Streets in historic downtown Pensacola. The Parade starts at 2:00pm and continues until around 6:00pm.

Pensacola JazzFest 2021

Coming soon to Seville Square in Historic Downtown Pensacola – the 37th annual Pensacola JazzFest! Held May 15-16, 2021, this festival will include a music lineup, food by local vendors, wine/beer, soft drinks, arts and crafts, and jazz merchandise are available. Additionally, all jazz merchandise sales help support the festival and keep it free. Visit the official JazzFest website HERE for more detailed information. 

Student Art Show

Support the local Gulf Coast State College students artists this week by visiting the Student Art Show. The show will be held in the Student Union Building at 5230 W Highway 98, Panama City.

Basketball Game: Go Bulldogs!

The Marianna (FL) girls’ varsity basketball team has a home non-conference game today. They will be playing against Crestview (FL) today at 6:30 p.m. If you are unable to see the game in person at Marianna High School, there will be an HD live stream of the game offered by Shadow Sports. Open Mic Night

Today from 6 PM to 8 PM, Pensacola Poetry is hosting their last Open Mic Night of the year. Advertised as “Part group therapy. Part open mic,” Pensacola Poetry is the area’s longest-running poetry open-mic night. There is no censorship and no rules other than to poem responsibly. All genders, races, ethnicities, religions, et cetera are respected and welcome. Additionally, musicians, singers, and other artists are welcome! Come out and enjoy this wonderful community of poetry at the local Constant Coffee & Tea in East Pensacola Heights.

Theater Performance: Annie Kids

The Florida Chautauqua, Inc. is putting on their last performance of Annie Kids today at 2 p.m. The show is performed by their fantastic Emerald Coast Theatre Company education program students. The non-profit is charging only $10 per ticket to see this amazing, classic hard-knock-life story.
