Fireworks Extravaganza

El Bethel Church is hosting its Annual Celebrate America Fireworks Extravaganza this coming weekend. Come out to Sneads Park on July 2nd from 6pm to dark for an evening of fun celebration. There will be free food, a free concert at 7pm, and fireworks at dark!

Panhandle Watermelon Festival

The Panhandle Watermelon Festival is coming to Chipley! Founded in 1969, the Festival focuses more on music than watermelon. The musical lineup draws out-of-towners from June 23-24th. This year, the lineup includes Easton Corbin, Collin Raye, Andy Griggs, Ty Gerndon, and Leah Pettis. Love music but looking for other events to fill the day? There’s so much more to enjoy! Palatka Blue Crab Festival

The Blue Crab Festival is coming to the small town of Palatka this Memorial Weekend. From May 26-28th, enjoy a three-day festival of fresh seafood, carnival rides, live music, fireworks, and a Memorial Day parade. Live music will be brought to you by Molly Hatchet, the Ying Yang Twins, and the Sugar Hill Gang. There will also be a kids’ zone. Come down to enjoy the riverfront and a family-friendly festival! Jacksonville Jazz Festival

The Jacksonville Jazz Festival has a rich, forty-year history of showcasing smooth beats and imaginative solos. It’s the largest free music festival and features three days of live music on TWO different stages. Some of the 2023 performers will include Wynton Marsalis, Samara Joy, Shemekia Copeland, the U.S. Army Ambassadors Jazztet, Marcus Miller, Larry Carlton, and The Dirty Dozen Brass Band.

Pensacola Crawfish Festival

The Pensacola Crawfish Festival is happening now until April 30th in Pensacola. The annual Pensacola Crawfish Festival has been happening for over three decades and brings THOUSANDS of pounds of fresh crawfish from Louisiana. The festival takes place at Seville Square and Fountain Park.

Come enjoy boiled, fried, and steamed crawfish in traditional Cajun fare like jambalaya, etouffee, boudin, gumbo, and po-boys. This year’s music lineup features all-day entertainment by the 9th Avenue Brass Band. Other live music acts include Buckwheat Zydeco Jr. and Ils Sont Partis Band, Gregg Martinez and the Delta Kings, Dwayne Dopsie & the Zydeco Hellraisers, Chubby Carrier & the Bayou Swamp Band,  and Curley Taylor & the Bayou Swamp Band.

The festival includes arts and crafts vendors, local food trucks, and a special festival beer called Fiesta Daze Lager; the lager is specially brewed by Pensacola Bay Brewery. Learn more by visiting the festival website HERE

Wine & Food Festival

The South Walton Beaches Wine and Food Festival starts tomorrow! From April 27th-30th, come out to a variety of events focusing on wine, food, and the pairing of the two. There will be chances to meet renowned winemakers, see celebrity chefs, attend wine seminars, and choose wine samples from HUNDREDS of wines. The big event is the Grand Tasting on either Saturday or Sunday … or both, if you care to enjoy two days of tasting and treating yourself!

Guests will receive a tasting booklet outlining the featured wines so they can pick and choose their tastes carefully. Bottled water and food will be available in the Savor South Walton Culinary Village. Additionally, there will be live music from the Nashville Songwriters Showcase. Seabreeze Jazz Festival

Coming soon to Panama City Beach: the Seabreeze Jazz Festival! This annual event is one of the Top 10 Jazz Festivals in the USA as ranked by JazzIZ Magazine. It brings together over 20 live music acts for a four-day festival on the sandy beaches of Florida’s Emerald Coast. The festival lineup for 2023 includes The Jacksons, George Benson, Boney James, and KEM. There will be special dinner cruises featuring Michael Lington and Peter White. Each night there will be a ticketed late-night after-party at Pompano Joe’s Seafood House; the parties will include an appetizer buffet and live music. Cosmic: FSU Circus Production

Florida State University’s “Flying High” Circus was originally founded in 1947 as an opportunity to help men and women integrate when the university became a co-ed institution. The extracurricular program exploded, thriving off students exploring their skills in more than 20 different circus acts. Students also learn how to rig their own equipment, sew their own costumes, and handle all production aspects for the annual performances. The performances take place under the campus’ Big Top, located near the stadium. 

Cosmic is the organization’s 2023 spring show; the student performers will take their audience on an intergalactic journey to new worlds through gravity-defying routines in the air and on the ground. Bluegrass Festival & Chili Cookoff

The Florida State Bluegrass Festival & Chili Cookoff is coming to the charming small town of Perry (March 31 – April 1). This is one of the biggest events of the year for the town, bringing in thousands of tourists. There will be live music, a chili cookoff, free Moon Pies, a kids’ zone, crafts, and more! The music lineup includes Rhonda Vincent, Appalachian Road Show, Kenny Stinson, The Tim Shelton Sydicate, David Adkins, and Rekindled Grass. A two-day pass will be $40.00 in advance (via online purchase) or $45.00 at the gate. A one-day pass for Friday costs $20.00 while a Saturday pass is $30.00. Tallahassee Jazz & Blues Festival

Come out to the Tallahassee Museum to enjoy a two-day jazz, swing, and rhythm and blues music festival on March 25th-26th, 2023 from 11am-5pm! The Tallahassee Museum, located on an 1880s farm, is home to one of the town’s most beautiful outdoor concert venues. Guests are encouraged to bring camp chairs or blankets to enjoy the music.
