As always this is just a few events going on in the area on Saturday. It looks like it may be a wet one as well. The news is saying it should be in the low 80’s and depending where you are a 80 to 100 percent chance of rain throughout the day. And a reminder the Farmer’s Market in Marianna will be open from 7am to 12pm at the Madison Street Park.
This is the 3rd open house for the Fussell’s Daylily Farm. They are located at 1565 Gainer Road in Chipley. Open 8:30-3pm. Be sure to take your camera, lawn chair, hats, umbrellas and sunscreen. They are open May to August with peak bloom in May. Check them out on FB for more info.
10th Anniversary Pawty on June 8th from 2pm – 6pm at Pensacola Hotel for Dogs and Cats at 4110 Creighton Road in Pensacola. Pets, kids, family, and friends are all invited for an afternoon of fun! LeDough will be selling donuts, face painting, prize drawings, art & crafts, and games. The Hotel for Dogs & Cats is a no-kill, all volunteers, non profit rescue and adoption service.
Annual Wild Blackberry Festival from 8am-1pm in downtown Jasper at the Jasper City Park. Everything blackberry! Arts, crafts, food, fun run/walk, & entertainment.
World Ocean’s Day June 8th from 10am-2pm at Gulf World Marine Park on Front Beach Road in Panama City Beach. They are having a beach cleanup from 10 to noon. The cleanup is one of hundreds of events being held around the globe in conjunction with “World Oceans Day.” The pier is located at 12213 Front Beach Road in Panama City Beach. The hosts invite the public to participate and encourage them to being reusable gloves, buckets, and reusable water bottles. Volunteers will receive giveaways plus raffle tickets good for a chance to win prizes from Gulf World, Diver’s Den and several other area attractions. The park will also celebrate by setting up educational booths, free kids’ activities and photo opportunities featuring colorful characters throughout the park. The bonuses can be enjoyed from 10am to 2pm.
